His interesting approach opens up a new dimension in which graphic design, abstract art and illustration merge into the unified whole. Adopting the story as the most integral part of creativity, his pieces always have something to say. Non-figurative in the essence, whether or not obvious to the viewer, his images seem like captured moments of distorted reality. SatOne’s works have a strong resemblance to the visual forms of Futurism, emphasizing the dynamic interplay of divided surfaces, colors and shades.

Né en 1988 à Epinal, Levalet grandit en Guadeloupe avant de revenir à l’âge de 17 ans à la Métropole. Il commence dès l’âge de 13 ans à peindre sur l’île, d’un mur à l’autre, mais c’est à son retour qu’il étudie l’art aux Beaux-Arts de Strasbourg. Le théâtre, l’audiovisuel, la photographie, la sculpture et la peinture l’attirent et l’inspirent tout autant mais c’est vers les arts plastiques qu’il décide de s’orienter et passe agrégation.

Mateo aka MTO is a French artist known for his grey scaled photo-realistic works of art, mostly portraits, which stand out from the masses because of their high quality, that led him to become a respected artist in the Graffiti and Street art scene.  He was born in France, and then moved to Berlin in 2006, just to leave if 7 years later. And, that pretty much sums all that he is willing to discover about himself. Visiting Barcelona was the kick-start for MTO’s work on the streets. The vibrancy of the city’s exterior culture inspired him to create. Yet his work, although labeled street art, goes way beyond graffiti. read more
